Remarkably tourist-free on a chilly March afternoon, this scene reminded me of a movie set. Also, I don't know if this is a recent thing or if I just didn't notice before -- but this area in Chinatown (Pell, Bayard, Mott Streets) is almost completely filled with hair salons and barber shops.
