The Crystal Springs at Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is fed by cold, clear 'fossil water' which is said to have entered the ground water system thousands of years ago. The floor of this pool is brilliant white, reflecting the blue of the sky, and mixed with the green algae makes for some spectacular colors.
