In Cannes ... during the film festival, one of the funnest thing was cruising "la Croisette" or the sidewalk between the huge hotels and the beach/ocean. Some people dressed WAY up to cruise the strip ... even at early morning hours when others were looking for croissant. Also a common sight was "younger" actress types with older "director" types. Totally stereotypical -- but that's what I saw.
